Starting business when employed

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 25 March 2011 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

I wanted to take legal advice on starting a business when employed full time with a company. I am currently employed with a IT company and want to start a business related to art and creativity. Its completely non-compete with my employer's business. Can I do it while continuing my employment with this company?
adv. rajeev ( rajoo ) (Expert) 25 March 2011
Being a private employee you can start your own business which is not competent to your co., but it is to be seen whether is there any restriction by the co., to start any business.
