cheating by icici bank in homeloan

(Querist) 13 March 2011 This query is : Resolved
I availed the required home loan from Icici bank in Feb 2008, However,I suspected foul play by the bank when I got homeloan agreement copy from bank in which I found many doubtful things such as overwritings, my and my wife`s signatures forged by bank officials in our absence and many blank spaces in the agreement.I have complained to RBI under banking ombudsman scheme, but they have failed to give any satisfactory reply and have closed the complain as their reply states that the matter is too complicated and needs to be investigated properly and they do not have those rights.Since Feb.2009,I`ve stopped to pay the Emi on said loan and sent many correspondences to the bank and demanded for the compensation , but the bank strangely denied the allegations even after strong documentary evidence I have against them. But,Nobody from the bank approaches me not for even repayment of the loan since feb 2009.what should I do now to get the compensation?

Drag the bank to the Consumer for the same and seek compensation from the High Court by making a writ against the Bank (State)

well limitation period for consumer complaint is 2 years.

but the trouble is the bank will certainly come out with some serious litigation against you....Bank is a Secured Creditor in any case.

meet some local lawyer and try to contemplate legal action against those employees of bank who have forged the signatures or your wife and have altered the original documents.

You can file a criminal case as well. File a case in consumer forum for the loss and damage.
