(Querist) 23 August 2017 This query is : Open
Dear Sir/Madam

My mom's dad made a irrevocable power of attorney to someone and its a ancestral property.
What is right of a daughter's son in ancestral property.
If there then how can i claim my right.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 23 August 2017
Whether moms dad is alive?

If yes POA can be cancelled.

If not, when he expired?

How you claim the property is ancestral?

Whether your mom is alive?

Please state clear material facts or discuss in detail with local lawyer.

Property from mother's side is not ancestral...................!

If your maternal grandfather had given irrevocable power of \ Attorney regarding some self acquired property to some one and died intestate the property devolves on your maternal grand mother, y0our grandfather's mother, your mother and your maternal uncle as class 1 heirs. If your mummy was allotted her share and that property is still intact you can inherit your mother's share if your mother is no more.and you don't have siblings.
