method for action against complaint

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 29 March 2010 This query is : Resolved
Hello,

As you all know that I am having matrimonial dispute with my wife for past 3 yrs.

Just 60 days before, I have given one complaint at police station against my in-laws that ".....they are coming to my work place carring knives, asking/enquiring about me.....etc...these all things are told by my work place neighbours"

After some time I filed an RTI application and ask for action taken report.

In reply they said
"NO ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN SINCE IT IS NOT A CONGNIZABLE OFFENCE"

What should I do, so that the police must take some action on that complaint.

File a complaint before the Magistrate u/s 200 of Crpc bringing all these allegations.

You can even approach higher police officials and can convince them that threatening or indirect threat bearing knives and all other weapons publicly with intent to pressurize you is also an offense and such persons are liable to be dealt with high hands of law.

Mr. Anonymous,

How we all came to know about your matrimonial dispute with your wife for 3 years? Even your identity is not disclosed to any of us.

Anyhow you may file a criminal complaint before the Court of Judicial Magistrate or Metropolitan Magistrate.
