First, obtain the death certificate of the deceased and obtain the certificate of legal heirs of the deceased. Then apply to the Revenue Authorities for changes in land records the name of the legal heirs of the deceased person will be added.

The legal heirs of the deceased owner should apply for including or replacing their names in the property records in the place of deceased owner by complying with necessary requirements in this regard

If unmarried, his/her other legal heirs other than class-1 are the heirs. If you don't apply, why are you asking about time?

The procedure of law is the same irrespective of the marital status of the deceased, the time taken by the revenue department should be enquired from them.
