Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 13 March 2010 This query is : Resolved 
manufacturer received a notice from consumer that the consumer purchased the product of the co. which becomes deffective in the warrenty period the retailor once tried to fix the problem but again the same fault. the consumer never approached the manufacturer neither he went to the the service center but directly got a notice issued to the co.what should co. do

If you are agreeable to fix the problem of the purchaser then you can enter appearance in the said case and offer to meet his grievance in which eventuality the case before the Consumer Forum would be dismissed. It is very difficult to prove that you were never approached by the consumer in this regard as no written notice is required.
