Obtain copy of complaint or all FIR(s) whatever it is and paper(s) signed by you from police even if under RTI and keep these safely.

Don’t conceal anything in employment application/affidavit that you sign.

It seems the case was not registered / not gone to court and police proceeded for mutual understanding to finish dispute.

You can confirm it through your lawyer / RTI.

If no case was started after investigation / no punishment was given, there would be no objection in joining government service.

Take help of elders of family, competent and experienced well wishers, seasoned employee's union leaders, a very able senior counsel specializing in Labor/service matters to:
get copy of all docs
and to fill up all forms/affidavits

before signing.

Are you attending court on hearing dates as accused or are you an accused in the case?

Are you on bail?
