About survey in village.

Respected Experts,

I have ancestral House in my village in Raigad district of Maharashtra. Father and mother are no more. I want to carry out survey there. But i don't know how to do it?
I did not know what docvuments required for this.
Pls guide me as possible.

It is not easy to find out the details of the property such as survey number & extent etc. either from the Tahsil office or panchayat or Municipality of your village (under which it comes)as the house is ancestral. Apply in the Panchayat of your village and Tahsildar concerned by marking copy to the Revenue Divisional Officer and District Panchayat Officer concerned by enclosing the tax receipt if any paid and if any paper you have regarding to the property.

You can approach the local Talati (Village Officer) obtain the 7/12 extract (Record of Rights) and proceed further on the basis of the information so obtained.
