Bank avoiding to release security papers even clearing loan amount.

Swaraj Urban Bank acknowledge in writing of receipt full loan amount on 4/6/2007 but bank avoiding to hand over my original papers of my home which I mortgaged with bank for loan. Bank officials are insisting me for some cash amount from me to release security papers.

Kindly advice me how I can get my security papers release from bank.

You should issue a legal notice to the bank by enclosing photo copies of the loan discharge receipts & demand the return of original title deeds held in their possession, if the bank is reluctant to return the same, you can drag the bank to consumer court seeking relief as well as compensation for the mental agony.

Ask the Bank in writing, write to higher authorities.

If no effect may send legal notice.

Can consult the vigilance department to trap the culprit.
