Selection of secretary of co op society.

Our secretary has resigned as he could not spend members money as he willed and asked the chairman for appointing a new secretary.

I think it is for the managing committe to appoint a new secretary. Pl. clarify the correct procedure.

The post of secretary is a paid employee or honorary or one among the board of Mangement?
Normally the money collected from members to be spent for the contingencies with the approval of the Management.

Look into the bye-laws of the society and find out who is authorised to appoint the new secretary.

YES, MC HAVE TO SELECT A NEW SECRETARY OUT OF ELECTED MG COMMITTEE MEMBERS ONLY. nO NEED TO GET APPROVAL OF MEETINGS/ MEMBERS..
