Plaint amendment

respected experts,
written statement has been filed by the defendants as they are annexed the sale document which was not in the knowledge of the plaintiffs at the time of pleadings.
q1. can the plaintiffs amend the plaint.
q2. now the trial has been started is it possible to amend the plaint at this movement?

1. Yes, the plaint can be sought to be amended at any time before settlement of issues.
2. You have to find out whether the suit is getting totally changed or otherwise.
3. There is no trail in civil cases.

I agree with the experts Dr J C .Please go through the below jement of SC under O.6.R.17 – Pleading – Amendment – Ordinarily court must not refuse bona fide, legitimate , honest and necessary amendments and should never permit mala fide and dishonest amendments – Normally amendments are allowed in the pleadings to avoid multiplicity of litigations. ACJ 2012(2) (071)
