Credit card payment

(Querist) 09 September 2014 This query is : Resolved
Hi All,

I have been working since last 4 yrs and since then i have been paying my all credit card bills and loans on time.
I need to change my office in February this year so it was tough but still i managed to pay min payments for the cards and emi's for the loans.
But this month i made a B.T through my sbi card to my citi card for which i got a msg from sbi but have not been credited to my citi card. There is no toll free number to call sbi so you need to send them a message saying problem and then they will arrange a call for you once no matter you are busy or free. And they are showing the same on sbi that its done and i had emails to citi also stating the same and not to charge me penalties for late payment since there had been something from sbi and might take some time but they have charged it and now im stuck frsutrated working and checking all this I would like to know if they are least responsible in giving service what will be the action taken against me if i will not clear their bills from now please advice because there had been previous incidents as well and they are just charging interest but not understanding the situation.

previously i had brought my samsung phone through citibank bank under their promotion offer stating third emi is refundable out of 6.
bill came for all emi's every single month i called them many times no resolution lastly the representative i spoke to was very rude i have all the call recordings on my phone finally as normal people do i thought let it be who will run after them it will be our loss so thats the behaviour of banks which is not acceptable
Kindly advice what shall i do if not paying only hits my cibil i am fine with it atleast its better not to pay if any ways you are being harrased by paying also.

Stop using credit cards.

Credit card people try to find out the excuse to overcharge and impose penalties. Better arrange for the outstanding and get rid of it or make up your mid to bear such events. Moving to court for relief would be more time and cost consuming.

ALL CC companies do have customer helpline including M/s SBICPSL (SBI Cards), M/s CITI Bank.........................and also Grievance Redressal Mechanism that is printed on back of their bills too.

If you are not satisfied escalate to Principle Nodal Officer and then pull them to DCDRF.

You are doing everything on your own and on phone.

Prefer written communications under proper acknowledgment.

Avoid purchases if you can't pay in whole by due date.

Thank you all.
But sir Sbi cc don't have their customer service active so its mentioned on their website to send a message saying problem and we will conttact you in 24hrs,then when they called i asked them why there is no cstmr srv number so the agent replied saying its out of service due to technical issues.

there is no use arguing the caller on the policy issue.

you never elaborated what solution was offered to you by the calling executive.

"but not understanding the situation."

CREDIT CARD business - banks are nit sitting there to understand the situation.

They grab these situation to squeeze you..

WHY THE HELL YOU USED CREDIT CARD..
THEY ARE CERTAINLY NOT YOUR WELL WISHER.
I SIMPLY HATE IT.
MUST GO FOR DEBIT CARDS.. / NOT CREDIT CARDS..

You may check if company has recorded delinquency in your CC a/c and has charged penalties in CC bill supplied to you.

If you do not get delinquency cleaned from your credit history it may remain forever in say CIBIL.............................

If you enter into settlement that is also adverse entry.

Therefore it shall be appropriate to show all record of your representations ...............be it call recordings to your lawyer dealing in bank/consumer cases and let your lawyer advice you further.

The CC companies do not admit their errors easily and if required pull them to DCDRF that can order reversal of penal charges and to call back your name from list of defaulters and provide you clean CIBIL report.

if you are sure that you owe them nothing and you are being unjustly billed then follow advise of Mr Kumar Doab

Your query has been properly addressed by experts. The credit card managers grab the opportunity to penalise the card holders in maximum possible way to earn incentives out of the penalised amounts so collected. Ther is no surprise if you did not get proper reply or response to your queries regarding this. The after sales service of any company's credit card is among the worst, i.e., so long the things are going on without any default in payments, it is okay, once there is a default whether first time or repeated, this will be result as what has been meted out to you. Under the given situation, if you want to tie the bell to the cat, go ahead with consumer case or decide about remaining calm/silent as usual.
