Cheating for getting admission

Dear Sir,
A person had cheated me for couple of lakhs for getting admission of my child in a professional pvt college. not having any documentary evidence of payment to him the police has not taken any action on my complaint.

another complaint of cheating against the same accused is also filed in the same police station wherein the complainant has provided with documentary proofs of fake fee receipt and cheques,

under any process of law can I ask police to investigate and take action against the accused after taking into acccount the other complaint. or if I file under section 156(3) can the other persons complaint add value / weight to make my case strong for getting the FIR registered against the accused

First lodge a complaint with Police and then file petition u/s 156(3) crpc of they sit idle.

Give a complaint to the police, if the police does not register FIR, then follow the procedure u/s 156 (3).

how was cheating done?
did you approach him as a tout for illegal admission?
what help you wanted from him.

All these questions will have to be replied to the police.
