To include new respondents / defendant in present suit

Presently suit is pending in City Civil Court, Mumbai.

1) Is it permissible to include new respondent / defendant in present suit, If yes, would like to know the procedure.

2) Is it permissible to amend present prayer of the suit OR add additional new prayer to the suit, If yes, would like to know the procedure.

if suit is pending you must have engaged a lawyer . you have to make an application for amendment of plaint . court may after arguments grant your application for amendment of plaint .

you can amend prayers in the suit provided that no prejudice is caused to defendant . application should be made before issues are framed in the suit
