Car dealer denying the promised discount after full down payment

(Querist) 10 January 2014 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

I am in a fix, I booked Skoda rapid my 2014 on DEC 31st, full down payment is made to the car Dealer (cash + finance). On raod cost included 35k rs discount. Car delivery scheduled on 20th Jan, now I got a call from dealer saying that SKODA has denied the discount on 2014 models.

I have all the documents from dealer which mentioned the discount ( on Skoda dealer letter head).

Please help what action I can take, I dont want to pay extra 35k which was suppose to be discount.

does it mention discount will be for new models also of current year . cancel your booking and ask for refund . refuse to take delivery of car

well then company is bound to give discount . you can issue legal notice to company / dealer to give discount of rs 34,000 as mentioned in their letter .you can ask fr refund or move consumer forum for deficiency in service

Million Thanks Ajay,
is it possible that the insurance that is covered in On-Road price of Car could help me on this, I mean covering the discount amount or something.

One option is to cancel the booking and get your refund.
another option is take the delivery on their terms (considering no discount would be paid) and claim the discount later through legal process. You will have to loose litigation expenses and valuable time for the claim, which would be more or less equal to the claim for a person maintaining Skoda.
