it is salary cheque so the company owes her some legal dues and it has bounced you can move for S/138 NI Act.
V R SHROFF (Expert) 18 December 2013
can file 138 ni
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 18 December 2013
Can file suit u/s 138 NI Act.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 18 December 2013
A latest supreme court judgment says that the mandatory notice u/s 138 is also not necessary to file a case under the said provisions, so better file a case u/s 138 directly, let the court notice be served, upon which he has to pay the amount within 15 days before the court or to face the case.
Nadeem Qureshi (Expert) 18 December 2013
First of all send a legal notice for demand the money from them as per section 138(b) of NI Act and after 15 days you can file the complaint against the employer for the offence before MM of concerned area.

What did they say when you talked to them
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 20 December 2013
meet a lawyer and consider filing cheating case which is cognizable and police can locate them.
