Regarding ashok emblem

hello friends my one of the friend is working as a security officer in one central semi government institute. The authority of that institution has given the Asoka emblem to the security staff. my query is weather they can use the Asoka emblem or not.

As per Rules framed by the Central Government {In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 of the State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act, 2005 (50 of 2005)}, regulating the use of the State Emblem of India in official seal and on stationery and its design,
Section 10 (2) read as under:
Restriction on the use of the emblem.
(2) No Commission or Committee, Public Sector Undertaking, Bank, Municipal Council, Panchayat Raj Institution, Parishad, non-government organisation, University, other than those
authorised under these rules, shall use the emblem in any manner.

thank you very much sir for your above replay. but my question is they are using Ashok Emblem on the unifome belt and unifome cap. they are woking as a security in the education institute and the institute is semi central government institute, i think they cant use Ashok Emblem but i dont have strong article/section of law with that i can explain the authority. Can any one help me. plzzzzzzzz.

What do you mean by semi government institute? Better come with the real facts that too after getting proper knowledge about the status or the institute, rather than making the experts to differently guess from your own statement with partial knowledge about the institute.
Otherwise, Shri Rajendra K Goyal has perfectly advised you on your query. The Act referred to by Shri Goyal is just a very small 6-8 page booklet, which you or your friend can very well afford to purchase from a law bookseller for your detailed guidance on who can or who cannot use the emblem.
