dear sir,
i own a car,which is duly registered in my home town(haryana). i use this car for my personal use not any commercial use.

now being a central govt. employee i am transfered hence shifting to kochi(kerla)

can i take and use my car there straightway or is there any kind of formality/documentation i need to do before i drive it in kochi.

you will have to re-register it in kerala if you are going to use it for more than 12 months in kerala .

You go to marked in contenment near to your place. You will see cars of Defence Officers regsitered in diferent cities.

You are not the first person to be tranferred to other state. You need not take fresh regn on every transfer.
