can the parents force a 20 yrs old boy to stay with them?

Once a child attains majority, he/she can live wherever he want as per his wish, subject to follow the law prevailing in force.
Parents force child to stay with them out of love. There is no wrong in this.
But, if the parents are old, unemployed, disabled etc., then it is the duty of the child to look after them and provide them shelter, food and cloth. They are entitled for maintenance from the children in such cases.

No. He cannot be forced but .....
Such so-called mature child should learn from the experience of the parents. Merely sex attraction is not the real life. This is time for making career with the blessings of the parents rather live in relationship.

Live in relation is now legal, if any major couple are ready to live together without marry, no one can stop them or interfere in their life.

Parents cannot force, w/o valid reason,
It goes to Moral Duties.
Why parents do not throw out all sons , at 18, who need lots for college education!!
Natural Love and affection is above all.
& above 95% Family adhere to it worldwide, and 99% in India. Law is secondary.
The more one depends on Law, the more unhappy he is.
The more you protect your "Dharm", The more happier he is, and Dharm protect you 100 times more that the Law.
Son at 20 should look Dharm, not Law.

ANSWER: NO ,THEY CAN NOT!SINCE AN ADULT CITIZEN HAS RIGHT TO LEAD HIS/HER OWN LIFE IN HIS/HER OWN WAY.
BUT WHAT IS THE INTENTION BEHIND THE QUERY?
DO NOT YOU FOLLOW HERITAGE THAT IS COMMONLY FOLLOWED BY ALL RELIGIOUS SOCIETY????

Legally they cannot; but they have got every right to force to be with them since you are their meat piece. Convince them why u r leaving and thus try to pay back their dues.
