Rti2005

(Querist) 28 February 2012 This query is : Resolved
Under RTI ACT I approached Revenue authorities on land records details Including collector but they have not responded. I reported to Chief Commissioner. He issued a letter to authorities including me to inform the status of my application. Replying to that all revenue authorities concluded saying that Records not traceable in their office and applicant that is me applied with out file number. Again I reported saying that departmental file numbers not known to me the purchase details of my land ie survey number, and Pattadar name I already produced and it is the obligation of department to look for file numbers and I am no way concerned with file numbers hence my request furnishing information should be considered. This is because I purchased a land in 1984 and informed revenue authorities that I have purchased the property enclosing my sale deed copy in 1988. At that time they kept quiet and now they say it is govt assigned land if it so I requested to furnish details Under RTI . Because they are not submitting can it be (ie the land which I purchased) considered as a private Land, as the Revenue not producing record Please suggest.

The Revenue authorities cannot claim the purchased land that of the State land unless they have any legal document of acquisition. If no notification of acquisition is issued during this period, you are its legal owner. You demand Nishandehi of your land throgh tehsildar of the area.
