MY SON IS IN USA SINCE MORE THAN TWO & HALF YEARS ON STUDENT VISA.
HE WAS IN LOVE AFFAIRS WITH ONE GIRL WHO IS INDIAN BUT US CITIZEN.THE AFFAIRS WERE DEVELOPED THROUGH NET BEFORE ONE YEAR LEAVING INDIA.
THE GIRL REMAINED IN CONTACT WITH MY SON FOR MORE THAN 3YEARS.SHE BELONGS TO BRAHMIN AND WE ARE NON BRAHMIN. MY SON INCLUDING MYSELF & MY WIFE WARNED HER TO LEAVE MY SON BECAUSE HER PARENTS MAY NOT ALLOW. SHE WAS ASSURING TO UNDERSTAND HER PARENTS BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO TALK.SHE WAS WILLING TO HAVE REGISTERED MARRIAGE BUT WE DID NOT ALLOW EXPECTING HER PARENTS CONSENT. ONE DAY MY SON INFORMED HER FATHER ABOUT THEIR AFFAIRS & HER FATHER INQUIRED ABOUT CASTE.MY SON TRULY INFORMED ABOUT CASTE TO HER FATHER. HER FATHER DID NOT AGREE AND THREATENED MY SON TO FORGET HER OTHERWISE HE WILL SPOIL HIS CAREER. MY SON IS HAVING ALL EVIDENCE OF HER AFFAIRS LIKE PHOTOGRAPHY & EMAILS ETC. THE GIRL FATHER HAS FILED CASE AGAINST MY SON ALLEGING THEREIN THAT THE BOY IS ON STUDENT VISA & HARASSING MY DAUGHTER & US. THE REASON OF FILING CASE IS ONLY TO SPOIL CAREER OF MY SON & DOING SO MAY LEAVE USA TO CLEAR WAY OF HER DAUGHTER FOR MARRIAGE WITH THEIR LIKE.
NOW KINDLY ADVISE WHAT STEPS AS A FATHER IN INDIA SHOULD I TAKE.

possible charges filed by girl 2c:12-10b and 2c:33-4a
stalking & harassment.

You did not mention where is the case filed and what is the nature of the case or complaint ?
Without knowing these facts I can not advise you properly except that on the facts mentioned above no case lies against your son.

Even if any criminal case is filed against your son that is not going to spoil the professional career of your son. So rest assured.

The complaint filed in US would be subject to US laws it would not be incorrect to say that the lawyers listed here would not have the knowledge to advise on the case and neither you have the accurate details that what exactly in the case filed in there on your son.

After all it is a choice of boy and girl.
No one will encourage interference by girl's parents for marriage. [That is law]
Girl should ave taken permission, and or consulted her parents before going to affair. She hurt her parent's feelings. , and expectations.
No fault on boy's side, as he and his parents agree with his choice, and if she decide, probably his family will accept and and try keep her happy.
If girl wish, she should go ahead and marry.

As mentioned by the experts above you have not indicated the place where the case is filed. Whichever place it may be, your son should engage an advocate to defend him. As the case appears to be a criminal case, it is very important that your son takes immediate action and follow the advice of his advocate. Dont delay.

If you have appropriate emails responses etc., from the girl professing love and feelings between the two, then on that basis the charges of 'stalking' and 'harassment' can easily be overcome. It would be better for your son to concentrate on his studies instead of getting into such unwarranted distractions especially when he is still under student visa!
