Delay in submitting the document in court

hello experts,
i have a doubt that, during the pendency of a case in company matters, we promise the court that we will submit so and so document on so and so date, but after the lapse of time we couldnt submit the document due to the unavailability of particular documents...in this case what would the future course of court? will the court dismiss the case of give judgment against the company..? plz clear my doubt

may be, because necessity of the document value if its primary evidence than may be dismissed. by chance.

then what would be the position of all the held up proceedings in the court..? are there any chances that court gives injuction pertaining to the fact?

ask for further time to file said documents .court generally grants time .at most you may have to pay some costs

If you have traced the document file with an application explaining the delay and if you have not found still move an application that despite due deligence the required documents could not be traced with in time and seek extension of time if you hope you can trace.
Else file unavailability despite due diligence search there of.
