If a Landlord wants to repossess the tenanted premises after the death of the tenant who has no legal heir (tenant was unmarried) Can he do so ?? Actually in the first case the tenant also did not have the rent receipt in his name but it is in his uncle name who died 25 years ago with no legal heirs. The keys to the tenanted premises are with a neighbor & now he has put up his locks there..what are the laws in this situation & how can the landlord get the tenanted premises back.It would be of great help if I can some legal advice on this. Thanks so much. Armaan

Do not do such silly thing, otherwise you will be behind locks.
Apply to civil court for possession and only after court order you can get possession.
