my uncle and my dad wants to amicably partition my grandfather's agricultural land.do we need to file a partition suit or can we simply get a partition deed registered? kindly advice.

To settle all matters amicably without disputes it is advised now a days to go for a partition suit.

You may register the partition in sub registers office , if the land is in Maharastra

Either way you can resolve the issue. Both are the legal recognised method of partition.

better to file a suit for partition and the other party need to file application to submit to decree.
After obtaining preliminary decree, you can register a deed based on the decree and get the deed registered before the registrar
