Hi I want to know how does a stamp duty & and a registration charges calculated and what is the percentage of both of them?

1-Nature of Document /Sale/ Gift/ Partition/ Release !

2- Local State Stamp Duty Rates

3- Local State Registration fee Rates to be verified and calculated on the Basis of the Property Value

The Stamp Duty & Registration Fee defers from state to State !

You need to to indicate the category of document that needs to be registered and the appropriate state where the registration is to be made, in absence of the same you will get a general reply that you have either consult a local lawyer dealing in civil laws or need to consult the Regn .& stamp rules of the relevant state.
