Claim on Joint property

If husband purhcases some property on joint name with wife, without any contribution from wife. Property was sold off. After few months divorce filed and wife started claiming on money receivied from property. Can wife claim on money receivied from property where she did not spend any money? If wife claims for same money during divorce filed by husband is correct?

yes wife can claim money received by husband after selling the said joint property and she has right in claiming.

Even if wife not spend a single money and purhcase for conveneice then what should be defence? Any judgements where court refused wifes claim on property like this from Bombay HC http://www.dnaindia.com/india/report_man-can-claim-house-bought-in-wife-s-name-hc_1300719
