How to get divorce decree directly from court

Hi ,
Divorce has been declared by court, But the Lawyer is asking for more amount to hand over decree.
Is there any way of getting the same online or from court with out involving/paying any extra amount to the Lawyer.

Plz help.

Currently there is no such system. You have got to pay the lawyer fee.

If you are one of the party (either husband or wife) to the divorce case, then you can directly apply for Certified Copy of the Decree. Approach the particular court, contact the court master and he will guide you.

To ask extra money for providing copy of the decree of the divorce by any advocate from his client is most unprofessional act on his part. When there is clearly provided under section 23(4) of the Hindu Marriage Act,1955: "In every case where a marriage is dissolved by a decree of divorce, the court passing the decree shall give a copy thereof free of cost to each of the parties". The advocate asking his client to pay money for copy of decree of divorce is most illegal on his part that should be taken seriously and such advocate be debarred from legal practise and his enrolment revoked by bar council .
The certified copy of the court order/judgment/decree can always be obtained directly by the parties to the case no doubt about it but that too will require payment of court fee which is very nominal.

I find quite an ethical and practical advice on the part of Shri Vijay Raj Mahajan. Once a lawyer behaves unethically, he loses his trust among his clients. A lawyer must develop his reputation and professional empire based on ethics, trust and goodwill.

Present days the Judgement are Posted in the Websites of the Concerned Courts and it could be downloaded also.The PrintOuts are Legally Valid for any Purpose and if all required it could be Notarized Please.

You are right Dhingra Ji. unless the advocate creates trust and faith n hm by his clients he would be loos9ng his -professional integrity..Standing for ethics is more important than money.I agree with you.

You can benefit from Straightforward reply of Mr. Vijay Raj Mahajan.
You can also download from website of the court if IT works.
Generate irrefutable evidences of such unethical demands 1st if you wish to contest.
Otherwise make such Lawyer popular atleast in your circles..
