I'm working as a clerk in bank..since last few months I was on medical leave but mean while I have applied for other jobs (which was not informed to my bank) and got selected for interview now I want an Noc. will the bank provide me with the noc Or what should I do now...
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 30 December 2022
Actually this forum cannot act as spokesperson of your employer and cannot comment whether bank will (or will not ) give NOC.

You are asking what should you do.

You have to be on the mercy of the management.

Your query is silent as to whether you applied for other jobs in govt sector or outside. You have also not indicated whether present employment was or was not indicated in these applications.

You should inform the Bank (present employer) for issuance of NOC for joining new job and wait for response before seeking any opinion, advise / obligation of experts.

Best wishes for the coming New Georgian year-2023

Yes. Without permission from the bank, you have applied and selected. Now you may request the bank and after issuance of NOC join the new job. All the best. A very happy New year for the coming Georgian 2023.

T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 31 December 2022
You can apply for NOC from your employer for attending the interview in the new job.
Let them deny or accept your request, if they decline to accept your request, you may ask them to quote the law involved in it for not entertaining your request, after which you can resort to appropriate legal steps in furtherance.

Wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Gregorian Year-2023
