SIR

SRA Flat given under POA unregistered by a family freind before 10 years,now it is more than 17 years,the allottee has gone no trace of him nor his heirs.I have his POA .Can i sell this flat and register with unregistered POA.Pls.advise. as each one tells differently.

What is the compulsion in selling a property which does not belong to you? "each one tells differently"? What are the terms as to allotment of flats under SRA scheme?

Hello,

Unregistered documents have no evidentiary value further there were restrictions to transfer the property for a certain period. It is better to consult with a local advocate he may find out some solution for your dispute.
