Can a central government employee apply for an australian pr

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 10 May 2020 This query is : Resolved
I was recently selected in a central government job. However, as my brother is settled in australia, i plan to apply for permanent residence and settle there.
However, i am not sure if i can apply for permanent residence in another country whilst being a permanent central government employee in Government of India
Please let me know if there is any issue on applying for PR while working in the government of india?

I will definitely tender my resignation once my PR is approved.

you have to resign if intending to denounce Indian Citizenship.

Even for visiting embassy for VISA you need prior approval of the deptt.

Further in case you continue in service and with Indian nationality then be sure that no foreigner (including brother) can visits you without prior approval of the deptt.

You are only selected, hence not yet a Government servant. But once join the service, your rights as a citizen stands curtailed by the statutory provisions of CCS(Conduct) Rules, 1964. However, you cannot be in public service if you are not a citizen of this country. And the law in our country do not allow dual citizenship.

I concur with the reply of expert Sudhir. Nothing needs to add anything therein.

Either choose to be a citizen of Australia or central government service in India. You can choose one after full Mathematical calculations of gains and losses in all respects.
