Grade /class of assistant professor

(Querist) 01 April 2018 This query is : Resolved
Respected members, will you kindly advice where can I get the rule in which Grade / Class of posts of Assistant Professor drawing pay in Grade pay of Rs. 6000/- under UGC norms is classified. Every one says the post falls under class I category but nobody is able to say the rule where it is mentioned.
I need it to present in a court of law to justify my stand.

I want to know whether Assistant Professor working as per UGC norms drawing Grade pay of Rs. 6000/- falls under creamy layer group (Class -I ) or not as my cousin job is at stake as his father is Assistant Professor and some one has filed case against him saying that his father is falls under creamy layer group so his son cannot take job under OBC quota.

Mr. Kehar Singh,

Is not it surprising to know that your friend wants to know his own father's status from you, but not asking his father, as if his father is ignorant about his group of post on which he is serving? Posting Order of his father would duly contain the class of post on which appointed. He may see the appointment order of his father or ask the UGC through RTI or he can even contact some nearest HR Section of some Central Government office.

@ Mr. Kehar Singh,
Your clarification is totally unconvincing. His father is supposed to know about his job status.

It is Group-A (i.e. Class-I) entry level.
Pl. visit link https://www.ugc.ac.in/pdfnews/7077481_Revision-of-Pay-of-teachers.pdf for details.
It has been very clearly mentioned that it is level 10. Entry level 10 is Class-I Entry level.
This clarification you can get by referring to the corresponding scales of pay of the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th pay commission is given at link: http://www.staffnews.in/2012/11/4th-5th-and-6th-cpc-pay-scales-and.html
