What is the harm or problem, if you go both ways for wish fulfillment of both of you side by side.
At first get married in a temple then go to the registrar of marriages to fulfill the process of registered marriage.
Best of luck!

Only marriages solemnised according to the religion followed by the couple or registered marriage is valid. So called Temple marriage without observation of proper rites is not valid. Good luck, Kishor Mehta

Agree with Expert Mr.Kishor Mehta
Why do not get married in temple and register it with the Registrar of Marriages in terms of Section 8 of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, which shall satisfy view/version/ perception/idea of both of you.
Best wishes
