Holding of salary

Can a bank hold salary of employee of a organization, if not then there is any jurisdiction regarding this.

Do you mean that Bank has marked lien on salary a/c of employee that is not it's employee?

What is the reason stated by bank?

Kindly note in case you are geting salary through bank and in case of any dispute/ clarification ' with your employer then if employer has given any instructions then you check with your salary dept and get it cleared.but if not you may send a application to your concerned dept and mention the facts and demand for release of salary and take acknowledgement or send it by speed post. Try to resolve dispute with cool and confident mind keeping in mind your dependent family.avoid any clashes.as then remedy will be prpper court.please note.

Do you have any dues to be paid to this Bank?

If yes while signing a/c opening form you must have seen the clause on Banker’s right to set off and lien.

Apparently Bank has exercised this right.

Or has any instruction been issued by employer in this regard to the bank.

Write to BM under proper acknowledgment

and demand written reply. Mention that NO notice was supplied to you.
