(Querist) 11 February 2017 This query is : Resolved
Dear Sir/ Madam,

I already resigned my and in notice period. I have worked on govt holiday and took my comp off next week. But my manager gave me a notice saying I will extend my notice period. If my notice period is extended then I have loose my other company job and current job also.

Request you suggest me in this case.

leave and comp off also is also service. so you are serving notice period.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 12 February 2017
The provision of Compensatory off exists in company's own leave policy also, that is why it was approved and availed.

First of all: Download the leave policy, proof of having worked on Govt. holiday, request for compensatory off, having availed compensatory off.

The notice by Manager is verbal or in writing?

Remain gentle and amiable, while replying.

You may also approach to try and have consent of next employer to extend DOJ by 1day................or more.......... as need of leave can not be forecasted.

Apply your skills of persuasion, persistence, negotiation and reasoning.

At the same time build irrefutable written record while in employment, without entering into head non collision.

Your query is not clear, so far as the link between the notice period and compensatory off in lieu of duty performed on holiday.

However, for your information, notice period cannot be extended beyond the prescribed period in your service rules.

try to have amicable settlement.

If you have worked on holidays without written consent of the employer / to include these in your notice period, employer may refuse to adjust.

It is better not to post details in profile rather to post misleading / wrong / dishonest / false information in the profile.

In many threads expert used Mrs/Mr/Ms/ Madam before addressing me, please use Mr. before my name in case of need.
