Contempt and Punishment

(Querist) 24 January 2010 This query is : Resolved
Does the Following Interpretation amount to Contempt? If so, what would be the punishment?

1.Instead of Answering, If I ask a reverse Question to a Judge or Defendant Lawyer.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 24 January 2010
Though the judge id not supposed to be confronted with question as etiquette in courtroom does not permit so, any inadvertent throwing of question does not amount to contempt. Similarly the question may be thrown to the opposite side lawyer directly though he is not supposed to answer. Still that too does not amount to contempt.

If Opposite side Lawyer has the right not to answer my Question, What about my right to deny his Question politely (can I say no comments) ?
niranjan (Expert) 24 January 2010
If the question is not relevant to the case and simply asked to disrepute you, your lawyer should take objection against allowing such questions.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 25 January 2010
I do agree with barman
