Mistake in cast certificate in my first name.

(Querist) 14 January 2016 This query is : Resolved
Dear sir,

This is Sahadev Bade, I applied a job in Maharashtra State government and fortunately I got selected for the same. But I realised that there is a minor mistake in my cast certificate where Sahadeo Bade is mentioned on Cast certificate instead of Sahadev Bade and cast validity also done with the same name i.e Sahadeo Bade. under this situation what should I do, I prepared Affidavit and Gazzate as well in advance as a precaution. But I still afraid if they refuse to accept this then what should I do??.
kindly suggest me a better solution and guidance is required!

A proof of identity or address – the documents recognized as proof of identity are affidavit, Newspaper Publication and Gazette Notification regarding the change of name if necessary attach the school certificates, bank account statement, passport, voter identity card, driver’s license, credit card, marriage certificate whatever you have.

'Sahadeo Bade' is another way of writing a Mharashtraian name 'Sahadev Bade" in English. This is a common usage and cannot be said to be a mistake. If there is any objection, filing an affidavit will take care of the issue.

You can approach the concerned department which issued the certificate and request to rectify the mistake.

It's a typographical mistake.. I think the department which has selected you, might consider this mistake.

Dear all,

Is there any court order against the same issue?

Better get it rectified from the department concerned who have issued the caste certificate.
