Hello sir,
I am writing this with lots of hope to get some advice. Sir, I have done my btech in marine engineering from International maritime academy, chennai in the year 2010- 2014. This college is approved DG shipping, India and affiliated to KARNATAKA STATE UNIVERSITY. Even i passed out with CDC privided by dg shipping. Now after I got the job when I am trying to apply for my promotional exam under mercantile marine department, i was denied. They stated that UGC have recently revoked the approval from KARNATAKA STATE UNIVERSITY. sir, but I had passed in 2014 and then i was not aware of it. I am not alone, there are more than 300 Batchmates of mine now who are stranded. Even ugc is not clearing its stand on passes out students. If they had to maje any public notice they should hv written to all govt. Bodies abt passed out students. My college is not responding properly now. They have changed the university to stay in safe side.
sir, please please advice us something. Our whole life is in stake. I will eagerly waitng for reply

UR university is at fault and not the UGC.UR university must have received the orders from University immediately after its request has been turned by UGC.Though U may have been misled in this aspect, U have to settle the matter with the university only.But why did U not keep track of it for one year?

Has your University awarded you the degree?
Is the University approved by UGC?
When the approval was withdrawn?
Consult local lawyer and may file petition in High Court.

Sainath sir, when we were in college the university had affiliation from ugc, all exams were being condycted properly and marksheets were dispatched to us timely. We passed in the year Aug, 2014 And received out final yr mark sheet nad privisional degree. After one year in july, 2015ugc revoked the affiliation siting some problem and issued the public notice. After passing out why should anyone will keep a track whats going on. Moreove we had already passed, if we had been studing and this notice would have came we would have done something

Rajendra sir, Yes university has awarded us All the mrksheets and the provisional degree. It had ugc affiliation when we were studing. We are 2010-2014 Batch passed out. Ugc withdrew the approval in july 2015 and issueda public notice to all to stop its courses siting various reasons so that they can not take fresh admisson. Our college now have changed the university to carry on fresh admission but we passed outs are stranded. Kindly guide sir

U have not mentioned in UR original post that the affiliation was revoked by the UGC in JULY 2015,it was fault.

All stranded students can together file a Writ Petition in High Court making the College, UGC, your employers as respondents and seek a Writ of Mandamus for declaration regarding validity of your Degree as UGC revoked the recognition after you all passed out of the college.
