Sir,
If I give petition at HC under 482crpc to quash a criminal case against me,should there personal appearance? Now I am in abroad. Can a lawyer do it for me?

In exceptional cases court may require the presence of accused.

It is not necessary that you are required to be present in hearing of a petition for quashing FIR except when specifically directed to be in the court.

The presence of the petitioner is optional while going for a quash in HC.Only the merits of the petition count for quash.But UR lawyer should be wise enough to present the petition in a proper manner.
