Read Section 19 of the Protection of Women Against Domestic Voilence Act, 2005, it is an acedemic query.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 17 May 2014
Yes, if wife is tortured in her matrimonial place then she can ask to get separate from the common household with her husband.

If you give background facts then further advice can be given.

NO: Family Court CANNOT ORDER :

Ashok;
Don't Worry.

it IS NOT legally viable if an housewife demand a separate /independent accomodation through Family court.
FAMILY COURT CANNOT ENTERTAIN CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS, AND Section 19 of the Protection of Women Against Domestic Violence Act, 2005, IS ENTERTAINED BY EITHER JMFC OR MM COURTS ; IN Criminal Courts only.
