Regarding lodging a police complaint !

(Querist) 07 April 2014 This query is : Resolved
I am working as Junior Manager in Public Sector Undertaking. I want to lodge a police complaint regarding my harassment by my boss who sends me SMS text messages and death threaten over mobile phone. I want to know, whether I should seek written permission from my PSU - Personnel Department or go straight away to police station for lodging the complaint against my boss. Please advice me.

address a written complaint to your superiors regarding death threats sent by your immediate boss on your cell phone . if no action taken lodge police complaint as well . do not delete sms received .

You need not take permission from your seniors, you can lodge a police complaint, on those person.

I agree with Shri Ajay Sethi.

In very low profile, cool headed, st way go and talk to higher ups.
u r only informing, no complain, no threat to go to police, no grievance. Just Report this matter to superior.. Thats all.

No Police Complain till Higher bosses decide ur matter.

Permission, of course, is not necesary, but evidence of harassment is a must, whether you go to police or the higher authorities to report for.

agree with the experts on the issue, approach the higher officer first and then resort to any legal action, if need be.
