Rc book damaged

Hi,

My Bike RC book has been damaged and it is on my brother's name who has shifted abroad. Please advice how to get a duplicate RC in such a scenario. It is registered at Pune RTO.

You can get the papers signed from your brother for issuing new registration. Contact the registration office for procedure.

Fresh would be issued after surrendering the damaged RC.

Some Agent would help you after receiving his commission.

Also, the address mentioned on the RC is where he used to stay but it has changed now. So will it be an issue if I don't highlight this fact or do i need to.

Change of address involves a long procedure but it is must to effect such change meant to locate exact place of residence of the owner of the vehicle. The registration certificate shall have to be surrendered at the place of its issuance and a clearance certificate with the permission to get fresh registration at the new place shall have to be obtained from the registering authority and then the new registration shall have to be done.
