Our residential association registered under the "Travancore - Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955" bans letting flats for "business/ commercial" purposes. See Please see the relevant clause below:
"The apartments are not to be used or caused to be used, either in expressed form or in any disguised form as business/ commercial/ entertainment place and should only be used for residential purpose. And apartment owners are not permitted to let out their premises wholly or partly for short stay to any person/ authority."
Does letting one's flat for Guest House purpose for a company/ organization constitute a 'Business/ commercial' purpose?

you cannot permit your flat to be used as guest house without society permission . generally societies refuse to grant such permission as they apprehend security problem . if used as guest house no check on persons entering and leaving the flat .

It is very clear in the query itself that apartment owners are not permitted to let out their premises wholly or partly for short stay to any person/ authority. Therefore you cannot permit your flat to be used as guest house without the permission of the society.
