AXIS BANK Credit RECOVERY AGENT MISBEHAVED WITH MY PARENTS

Dear Sir;

I am a axis bank credit card user also my saving( salary a/c) and my current a/c is in axis bank. In November month I have purchased a laptop of Rs. 35000/ by credit card and after that within 10 days 1.5 lakh Rs. Is stolen from my shop. Also the axis bank not converted my total amt. 35000/ in to Emi. Due to this incident I faced financial problem due to loss of 1.5 lakh Rs. On this Thursday (03/01/2014) I get call from axis bank recovery agent to pay Rs. 2800/- and he was fighitng with me over phone in bhojpuri language which is not official language and within office time at 11:00 am and I was in to my office . I requested that I will pay my dues on 4th January by axis bank account transfer after i recieve my salary and You need not to come at my home. But he was not ready to listen me and also threatening me that he will come at 9: pm to collect the amt.and at any cost the amount is need to ready. But I told him that this is not possible from me to arrange the amt. Then he not comes on that day. Then I write this misbehaviour complaint to axis bank nodal officer and he replies that my complaint is registered and he will reply me within 2 days. But on 4th january the executive comes to my computer institute without informing to me and he forced my father to pay Rs. 2800/ and also he collected the money by gathering my neighbours to my computer institute. My father at the same time called me on phone that he his misbehaving they dont have money at that time. The recovery agent is not ready to give his id proof documents and authority letter. At that time I call to the nodal officer regarding his misbehaviour then executive was not ready to talk with him.

I have all this call recard recorded in my mobile
Now I want to go to consumer forum against this misbehaviour / deficiency in service. Pls. Also suggest me how can file my complaints in police station against this bank; consultancy and executive. I have given written complaints to bank about this misbehaviour and without informing he comes to my home.

Pls sugeest me the type of consumer complaints is it deficiency in service ? Where I go for my complaint against this misbehaviour and I want to file defamation also against bank.



Pls. Suggest.

Why you not lodge complainant with Police against Bank and his official.

it is better you lodge police complaint against recovery agent and bank officials . enclose copy of complaint you made to nodal officer

This is now a never ending problem every where.Send a complaint by Regd post to the Chairman of the bank,marking copy to Governor R.B.I.,Police Commissioner ,Local Police and The Manager Axis Bank CC division.

File police complaint against all the bank officers in police station.

Agree with the experts, your father should lodge police complaint against the Recovery Agent, Nodal Officer, Bank Manager. You should also lodge complaint to RBI, Bank,IBA for the same.

RBI has fixed clear norms for recovery agents a gist of relevant para as under;

Customers should not be harassed or abused during the recovery process. For example, customers may be contacted only on telephone numbers provided by them and not on any other number. Calls or personal visits may be made during decent hours only. No abusive language may be used with the non-paying customer.
