(Querist) 09 December 2013 This query is : Resolved
I hv filed complain case. The court has taken cognizance. But the accused person has filed quashing petition. I hv also not interest in this case . The Court has issued notice several times but I hv not appeared in this quashing petition by yet. I hv interest for the end of litigation. But I hv no contact to accused persons. 1.How to end this litigation?
2. What will be the result for non appearance after receiving the notice?
3. Can the court take any action against me?
4.whether don't I appear in this case court has discretionary power to quash the petition without taking any action against me?

You are liable to pay compensation if the accusation was made without reasonable cause.

1. If you are not appearing before the Hon'ble court, the court can pass appropriate orders as prayed for by the accused in a quashing petition.
2.If you want to close the litigation, better to settle the issue, through out of court settlement.

Agreed with above experts.

If you do not respond to the notice of high court, the case will be decided in your absence and since you have stated that you are not bothered about the outcome, why do you worry about which is no more your concern?
