MY CLIENT and her daughter WENT TO SEE GROOM FOR HER DAUGHTER The family of Groom wants to marry with her and they kept ring with them and told the client and her daughter that the engagement to be done. they forcefully done the engagement without the consent of the girl. Afterwards the family harassed the family of girl by sending photographs of engagement to the emailid of the school where the girl is emloyed. Now the girl wants to give back the ring to the boy's family and want to broke the engagement which was done forcefully. what will be the procedure

There is no set legal procedure for doing this social job. Intimate the groom side and return the ring and cancel the engagement.

Without her valid consent no engagement or valid legal marriage take place and hence tell her to file a Police complaint against the groom and his family for their harassment/blackmailing etc of the girl and her family.

send email to the boy family that they are not interested in proceeding further in the matter . that girl is not interested in marriage and that engagement is cancelled . if boy side persists then file police complaint against the boy and his family
