Getting the details about the penalties of drunken driving

Respected people,
I've a query regarding drunken driving. One of friends has drove the vehicle under the influence of alcohol without a valid licence. 43% of alcohol has been founded in his blood after the breath analyzer test.He doesn't have a valid licence. Could you please tell what are the penalties for the same. Expecting a fast reply.

It depends which type of FIR has been lodged against him and even punishment cannot be anticipated at such earlier stage. He shall have to face along trial of the case.
