Detective agency cheating

Hello,

I have filed for a divorce case with my husband, As he has got an affair with other lady. To prove that he is having an affair, I hired a private Detective to provide me the details. The Private Detective Charged me with a Big amount. Which I paid, but the detective are not doing the job. Just giving me a lame reason. They were supposed to Check for 30 days and record the where about in a video. They did for one day and every time I ask them they say we will do it later we are busy and when I asked them to refund the amount they are not doing it.

What do I do know, how do I get my money back. What actions can be taken on them. Please advise.

Had any written agreement executed between you and agency? If yes then follow its terms and conditions and if not then nothing can be done except pressurizing the agency to do its act any cost.

Can we file a Complaint if the Detective agency does not provide me with the report nor refund the money.

Mere receipt of money is not sufficient to clear the terms of your oral contract. Serving the legal notice or say professional fee of the lawyer shall also become a futile exercise. Pressurize the agency through other means.
