i used pay Rs.1-00 on anticipatory bail petition. Now days the concerned court registry directing to pay Rs.2-00 as court fee on anticipatory bail petition. I know that every criminal petition must be affixed with Rs.1-00 only. Can anyone tell me what is the court fee payable on anticipatory bail petition or tell me the crminal court fee rules in andhra pradesh.

Dear Murlidharan
First you should know that why you pay Rs 1 Then you will know that you are right or the Court registry.
25 year back, When I was new advocate I asked the same question to my father (an advocate) that why we do not pay Court fee on Written statement or in bail application when accused is in custody? I got the answer in 30 days when I gone through entire court fee act, High Court rules and General rule civil and general rules criminal and stamp act and registration act. But since then I answer such questions to the friends and even Court itself. You can do the same.
I know the answer but nor my father given to me nor I will give to you.

We should apply our own mind which is the minimum expectation from we lawyers in this profession.
