my wife has filed 498 against me and my parents and then she file DV case also against me and my parents. she has demanded false dowry of 2 lakh, 5 lakh her marriage expenses, some 15lakh compensation and 20000/-p.m maintenance.my father is a retired govt. servant and my mother is a house wife. i wanted to know as she has put DV against my parents also will they also have to be part in her demands in terms of money as they cant be or i as her husband is obliged to bear her false demands only.what is the procedure to remove my parents name from this DV case how can she ask for her marriage expenses from us.

name of your parents cannot be removed if there are allegations by your wife in complaint aginst them .
contest case on merits .
she has to prove that dowry of rs 2 lakhs was demanded . she is entitled to demand compensation under DV act . all claims/allegations made in complaint have to be tested in cross examination .
you have not mentioned whether your wife is working or not . if she is well qialifed and working she may not get maintenance

and your contest.
Grant of maintenance would be there unless you prove her employed with better comparative income.
Parrent can not be discharged if allegations are there against them in FIR.During trial court may exempt appearance showing genuine reasons.
