Stay order

(Querist) 15 April 2013 This query is : Resolved
My grand father gave a settlement deed to my mother on 1987 o his (self earned )property ( 1200 sqft land including 250 sqft single storey building ). In this deed he clearly mentioned that his daughter (my mother) will have only life interest to enjoy the profits and rents araising out of the schedule property without powers of alienation. After my mother's death the property should taken by me with ull powers of alienation. My grand father was dead in 1999 & my mother was dead in 1988. After my grand fathers death my sister and her husband requested me that they want to live in the property till my marriage. I accepted the request for the sake of my father. Now my sister thinks that she has part of rights on the property. I heard that she went the court & gat stay order on that property. Is that possible. If it is possible, how can i save my property ?
Please give me a detailed answer...

is the settlement deed duly stamped and registered . your mother had only life interest in said property . as per said deed on your mother demise you would have full rights on said property . it is necessary to go through the various clauses of said deed to advise . if your sister has obtained stay contact a local lawyer and make application for setting aside stay .
